August 29th & 30th: B.I.T.S. Bull Riding & Truck Fair

Get ready to head out to the Lathrop Antique Fairgrounds for a weekend of irresistible family fun at the very First Annual Better in the Saddle Bull Riding Fair! We are so excited for this weekend, packed with fun and experiences you can't find anywhere else. Hosted by the Better in the Saddle Equine (B.I.T.S.), proceeds from the fair will help children suffering from muscular dystrophy to receive the proven, therapeutic benefits of horseback riding programs that are tailored to improve and strengthen the physical, mental and emotional capabilities of these kiddos. CTE will be there all weekend to help this extraordinary organization put on such a great event. For more information on B.I.T.S. or the fair, check out their Facebook. See you there!

CTE Supports Drumm Farm - Drumm Farm Annual Benefit
It was our good fortune to be a part of Drumm Farm's annual Benefit Dinner this past Friday and to meet the remarkable young men graduating from the institution, as they celebrate the academic achievements they they've overcome so much to accomplish.

CTE Partners with Drumm Farm for 2014 Drumm for Kids Benefit
Drumm Farm is a community within itself, providing on-site housing for foster families, as well as a host of programs for children and families to assist them in overcoming emotional, physical, financial, educational, housing and life challenges. Drumm works diligently to place children and siblings in nurturing, loving, forever family homes. CTE is proud to partner with Drumm Farms in any and all pursuits, and we have always found infinite inspiration in the strides made by this esteemed organization as they continue to cultivate benevolence and make the world a better place.

CTE Mardi Gras Breakfast
Even with several of our CTE chiefs in Vegas for CONEXPO-CON/AGG, we still managed to put on one mean meal at the KC headquarters for our Mardi Gras Breakfast! Held in appreciation of the outstanding individuals who make up our team, the banquet was one of many ways the bosses at CTE show that gratitude is a year-round priority. Not to mention-this morning's festivities also enabled us to raise a sizable donation for our local food pantry at the Bishop Sullivan Center and fulfill our ongoing priority to give back and support our community.

CTE's 2014 Annual St. Joseph's Table Was Huge Success
The 2014 Annual St. Joseph's Table had an unparalleled turn out at Holy Cross Parish this year. Every year, the Ross family prepares and hosts the renowned St. Joseph's feast at Holy Cross Parish in Kansas City, Missouri. The yearly banquet has grown exponentially since the inception of the long-hailed event, and the family has happily found themselves preparing larger and larger portions over the years. The Rosses don't do anything small-time, and year after year, they Rosses put aside time weeks in advance to make sure their legacy maintains abundance. Tables overflowing with cookies and walls lined with giant, pasta-filled pots have simply become the expectation, and this year was certainly no exception. The 2014 feast was particularly bountiful, as the family fed over 800 hungry patrons, and raised over $8000 in donations. The turnout couldn't have been more welcomed, as 100% of the contributions are given to Holy Cross and put towards benefiting parts of the community that need it most. CTE strays from other companies of our size and stature, in that we are truly family-owned, both in definition and nature. The leaders of our company know first-hand the values and drive that could only come from humble beginnings, and St. Joseph's Table is just one of innumerable, unmentioned efforts that CTE cherishes in our ability to give back to the community we so treasure and respect.

CTE Takes the Pledge to Hire Missouri's Veterans
Missouri hires its veterans! It is CTE's pleasure to be on the Show-Me Heroes' list of employers who have taken the pledge of support for Missouri's veterans. For more info on the pledge and how to become involved with the Show-Me Heroes, click here. We thank our veterans for their sacrifice, their dedication, and their service to our nation, and Custom Truck & Equipment is honored by the opportunity to employ such noble men and women.

2013-2014 Holiday Season at Custom Truck
The CTE hallways are a rare, energetic set of crossroads where business doesn't quit moving. In the same way, appreciation is-and always has been-a year-round mentality for the bosses at Custom Truck & Equipment. From employees to customers and everyone inbetween, we understand that what we have is rare and something for which to be grateful. We are only as good as the people we encounter, and the holiday season is one of many occasions that CTE gets to reflect upon all that a year can bring. This holiday season was a particularly outstanding round of feasts here at Custom Truck, as we held our annual Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners to show appreciation for the extraordinary individuals that make up the CTE family. As in the past, these were accompanied with several-trucks-worth of holiday turkeys for employees' families and surrounding members of our community. Since our beginning, it has always been a priority for those in charge at CTE to show thanks for those within the Custom walls, as well as the surrounding community. This season was a special time of appreciation and reflection, as we were able to give back and share what was an incredibly rewarding 2013, and gear up for what will be an even more profitable and philanthropic 2014.

"Custom Truck and Equipment supported him through the entire Extreme Makeover: Home Edition application process. The company paid him for the week he spent in Florida, sent crews to help build the Jacobo's new home, and even offered to donate equipment for the construction. 'Fred Ross [the owner] would say "Just don't give up - follow the dream,"' he said. 'Custom Truck is just nice people. It's the best job I've ever had."
